The lead cast for director Tsukasa Hojo's live-action movie "Angel Sign" has been decided!

Nao Matsushita and Dean Fujioka will appear as the lead cast in the "Prologue" and "Epilogue" drawn by Tsukasa Hojo in the live-action movie "Angel Sign", which is directed by Tsukasa Hojo for the first time! The movie ``Angel Sign'' is a live-action version of the award-winning works from Asia and Europe that were selected from 6,888 ``Silent Manga Audition'' works submitted from 108 countries and regions around the world. This is a full-length omnibus film that includes an original ``prologue'' and ``epilogue'' drawn by Tsukasa Hojo. These ``prologue'' and ``epilogue'' play an important role in connecting each work, and Hojo himself, who serves as general director, took over the role for the first time. This work does not use dialogue throughout the entire story, and the story unfolds only with images and music, so it transcends language and borders and is a content that people all over the world can empathize with. The cast members of "Prologue" and "Epilogue" include Nao Matsushita, who is active not only as an actress but also as a musician, and Dean Fujioka, who actively performs not only in Japan but also in Asia and is also active as an actor. It has been decided that Mr. Aika, played by Matsushita, is a cellist, and Takaya, played by Dean, is a pianist. She plays a lover who is a young musician chasing the same dream. Under Hojo's direction, please pay attention to the performance of the two who take on the challenge of telling a story without dialogue.

[Comment from Nao Matsushita (voice of Aika)] The first thing that surprised me when I received the script for the first time was that there was no dialogue, just a storyboard. Moreover, the storyboards were drawn by Mr. Hojo, so I was very impressed. This was my first experience with both a silent movie and a cello performance, so the filming felt very intense. Since I didn't have any lines, I acted with Mr. Dean using lines that suited the situation, so there was a great sense of tension. Even if the language or culture is different, you can feel the same way as the main character. The shooting scene made me feel that way once again. I would be happy if you could enjoy the beautiful music as well.

[Comment from Dean Fujioka (Takaya)] I thought Mr. Hojo looked great in sunglasses. I think the only director who looks so good in sunglasses while sitting in the director's chair is Wong Kar-wai or Mr. Hojo (lol). There was a softness that I couldn't imagine from such hard-boiled visuals, and the scene was truly freeing. I think every boy of my generation had the boy's dream of wanting to be like Ryo Saeba, so I'm really honored to be able to be a part of Mr. Hojo's work.

However, immediately after creating a duet for cello and piano called ``Angel Sign,'' Takaya becomes a person who never returns home. "Angel Sign" is performed by Aika using only the cello.
