I was attracted by the straightforward title "Sudden Marriage" and read the comic, then I read the original novel, and I thought, "I want to turn this into a drama!" and came up with the plan. In adapting it into a drama, I want to cherish the characters and their feelings that are important in the original work and express a deep human drama in the form of images.
The main character, Koshiba Mao, is not a "super heroine" who takes the initiative to change the people around her. However, she is a woman who has faced the things within her reach, such as her daily work, interpersonal relationships, daily life and housework, with determination and sincerity. We asked Saito Kyoko to play this role, which we hope many people will empathize with, as we felt that her purity and natural expressions would be a perfect fit. We were fortunate to have the opportunity to appear in and star in her first drama since graduating from the group, and we are truly humbled by this.
On the other hand, Ando Hajime is truly a "superhero who seems to have jumped out of two dimensions."
