Nozomi Morita has been chosen to play the heroine “Kaori Makimura” in the Netflix movie “City Hunter”!

The Netflix movie "City Hunter" is scheduled to be released worldwide in 2024. In addition to the already announced Ryohei Suzuki who will play the lead role of “Ryo Saeba”, it has been decided that Nozomi Morita will play the role of the heroine “Kaori Makimura”! Kaori Makimura is the younger sister of Ryo Saeba's former partner, Hideyuki Makimura, and will become Ryo's new partner. In the published photo, Kaori can be seen standing in front of the station's message board with her bright smile on her face.

The story is set in modern-day Shinjuku. With the full cooperation of Shinjuku City, the Shinjuku City Tourism Association, Kabukicho Shopping District, and others, we are filming on the largest scale ever in the actual Shinjuku/Kabukicho area. Also, the message board at the east exit of Shinjuku Station, which is familiar from the original work, will also be revived. XYZ was written on a message board in a corner of the station concourse, quietly surviving as if it had been forgotten. Expectations are high as to what kind of story will unfold with this XYZ.

We have recently received comments of anticipation and joy from Nozomi Morita, who plays the role of heroine Kaori Makimura, and Ryohei Suzuki, who plays the lead role.

Heroine: Nozomi Morita From the Showa era to today's Reiwa era, City Hunter has continued to be deeply loved by countless people. Being able to stand as Kaoru Makimura in such a legendary and love-filled world, I feel both the excitement that makes my heart skip a beat and the joy that makes me feel excited every day. Kaori is hardworking, powerful, loving and charming. The more I look into her heart, the more I find myself captivated by her charm. I would like to push forward with love and with all my might so that everyone can touch the fragments of her that are still in their memories.

Starring: Ryohei Suzuki It's been several months since we spent time together as Kaori and Ryo. Mr. Morita is soft-hearted, extremely honest, and always works hard. The sight of Ms. Morita practicing swinging around the props alone behind the set with a frantic look on her face was exactly like the single-minded and innocent Kaori Makimura that she had loved since she was a child. I am sure that you will meet the charming and lovable Kaori who will live up to the image you have of Kaori, and above all, only Morita-san can do.

Director: Yuichi Sato I remember being very happy when I heard that I would be able to appear on this show. When I watched her acting in various works, I thought that she was probably an actress with a high level of concentration. When I actually met her, I found that she was a soft and mysterious actress. But I also felt an invisible ``core strength.'' I think it's because she's like that that she attracts so much attention and receives so many offers. "Kaori" is played by Mr. Morita, whose ability to concentrate for a moment is nothing short of amazing. Please look forward to it.

Executive Producer/Shinichi Takahashi (Netflix Content Department Manager) I was looking forward to seeing Morita-san, who is able to fully transform into any role he plays as if he were ``possessed'', as he travels through the world of City Hunter as ``Kaori''. (Although I'm sorry) I had my beautiful long hair, which can be considered a trademark, cut off for this work. It was the first time in his acting career that he played the role of ``Kaori'' with short hair, and watching him run around Shinjuku with Ryo, played by Ryohei Suzuki, as ``Kaori'', laughing, angry, and sad, made me really feel like Kaori. I even get the illusion that Kaori is in Shinjuku. Through filming, we are confident that this work will be loved not only by many fans around the world, but also by those who are experiencing City Hunter for the first time.
