Starting July 17th, the Kumamoto Opera Company's regular performance of "Maeda Keiji Kabuki Journey - The Tiger of Higo, Kato Kiyomasa" will begin at Sakuranobaba Josaien and Kumamoto Castle Museum Wakuwakuza.
This is the first stage performance by the "096k Kumamoto Opera Company," launched by the manga publisher Core Mix. The all-female opera company will perform "Maeda Keiji Kabuki Journey," based on the original work by Hara Tetsuo.
After being postponed twice, the debut performance was finally held on Wednesday, July 14th at the Sears Home Yume Hall in the Civic Hall.
Kumamon, Kumamoto City's image character Higomaru, Takamori Town's mascot character Kazemaru, and the Kumamoto Castle Hospitality Samurai Corps all came to support the event, making for a spectacular debut.
