The manga "City Hunter" celebrated its 40th anniversary since its serialization began on Wednesday, February 26, 2025. To commemorate this, the "City Hunter" 40th Anniversary Project has been launched!
We have prepared various projects to show our gratitude to everyone who has supported the series so far, including a 40th anniversary original art exhibition and a "your favorite scene posting campaign." "City Hunter" (where is Ryo?) has celebrated his second coming of age ceremony.
At the time, I never imagined that people would be reading it 40 years later, so I was free to draw silly things as I pleased, as if I was throwing away all my shame.
Forty years from now, I'll be long gone, but I wonder if Ryo is still alive?
I hope that Ryo will live a long life, just like all of you.

February 26th, the date when the serialization of "City Hunter" began, has been registered as "City Hunter Day" by the Japan Anniversary Association. From now on, February 26th will be "City Hunter Day" every year, and we will work together with everyone to promote the series.

■Commemorating the 40th anniversary of the manga "City Hunter" - Post your favorite scene campaign

We will be running a "Your Favorite Scene Posting Campaign." Tell us your "favorite scene" from the manga "City Hunter." The results of the vote will be used as reference for the original artwork on display at the "City Hunter 40th Anniversary Original Art Exhibition (tentative title)." To participate in the campaign, please submit your work via X or fill out the questionnaire on the form on the special website. In addition, three people who respond will be chosen at random to receive an original shield engraved with the scene they chose. We hope you'll participate!
