On October 5, 2017, our company president, Nobuhiko Horie, appeared at a press conference held at Yoshimoto Kogyo's Tokyo headquarters to announce the details of the "Okinawa Laugh & Peace College."
"Okinawa Laugh & Peace College" is a vocational school that Yoshimoto Kogyo plans to establish in Okinawa in April 2018. This vocational school will have a manga course to train future manga artists, original authors, and editors, and our company, Coremix, will be fully supporting it. Horie will participate as a legendary lecturer, and currently active manga artists and editors will serve as lecturers.
Coremix has been focusing on training the talent that will lead the future of manga, and is taking a new step with Yoshimoto Kogyo to spread manga culture to the world.

"I'm happy to be involved in this huge project. This school is different from existing schools. The school and the magazine will be seamlessly connected, and we will create a system that will allow students to make their debut immediately after graduation. Graduation is not the end, but becoming a professional after graduation. We want to make this a practical learning environment that does not waste valuable time."
